What to expect?

All sessions will start with a short land based briefing on the boards, all equipment used and also how to launch,
before we head out on the water. If you come for a SUP Yoga session we will paddle on knees
and practice some basic skills, before anchoring our boards to start our SUP Yoga session in a more quite and sheltered section.
If you join one of the SUP Taster Sessions or Bespoke Sessions we will dive more in to skills, techniques, self-rescues and
Suitable for complete beginners and experienced paddlers or yogis.

Your Instructor

Isis du Jour is an experienced and fully qualified yoga teacher, teacher trainer, stand up paddle boarding
coach & instructor. Most paddle boarding & SUP Yoga sessions are run by Isis, but we also work with some other brilliant and
qualified instructors who you might meet in one of the sessions on the water.

Requirements

• You do not need to be a proficient swimmer, but should be comfortable about falling into water while wearing a buoyancy aid.
• Previous experience of paddle boarding and yoga will be helpful but not necessary.
• Suitable for complete beginners and experienced paddlers or yogis.
• A certain level of flexibility and ability to get up to standing from kneeling is required for learning to paddleboard.

Equipment

With your class hire of paddle board & buoyancy aid is included. If you wish to bring your own board, let us know.
We use Hatha Boards which are beautiful and qualitative paddle boards, sized 10ft x 6

What to bring and wear?

• For our SUP Yoga classes you can wear your usual yoga or sports clothing as long as you do not mind the risking of getting wet.
• For our SUP sessions you can wear (depending on the weather) wetsuit, dry suit, or just any clothing you don’t mind getting wet.
• Bring suitable clothes for weather conditions (layers of clothing).
• Change of clothes.
• A towel.
• Something to wear on your feet in the water. If you do not have wet shoes old trainers are great.
• Plastic bag: To put your wet things in.
• Other stuff: Sunscreen, layers in case the wind gets up, anorak or waterproof jacket.
• Mobile phone - advised to take on water in a dry bag.
• If you want anything else with you (water bottle, top, etc.) bring it in a dry bag which we can strap on the board.

What NOT to bring?

Do not bring any valuables. There is no access to a building or storage locker.

Where?

Our regular SUP Yoga Classes and SUP Taster Group Session are all taking place at a beautiful private wild swimming lake at Holmsted Farm, in Cuckfield.
Some other special events and special sessions will be hosted at other locations, such as Ardingly Reservoir.

Itinerary

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your booked class time, as this will allow you to with enough time to sign in,
get your equipment and meet your instructor. You will receive a brief overview of the equipment and technique on land.
Once everyone is on the water and comfortable your instructor will guide you to the location of the SUP Yoga class.
